Thank you for sharing your stories so openly.
Reading your applications is like witnessing a powerful wave; forming, rising, setting new currents in motion.
We are so much alike, all of us. Many of us feel alone and isolated because of what we’ve been through – that we are in too much pain, and that too much has happened for us to find healing and a new way of being, where life post-trauma is still open for creation. Yet to be written.
Reading your stories is like seeing points being lit up on a map.
Yes, you have endured suffering and you have struggled. You have been in places many people don’t know about and can’t imagine. But you have come here, to where you are now in life – where you are writing. You are exploring and finding words for your journey. Becoming your own storyteller. The one who can give voice to the story of your body, your mind and your past.
That very same voice can claim the story of your future as well.
Yes, what has happened has happened. We can’t change that. But we can explore and try to choose what to make of it. How to build upon it.
Many of you want to help both yourself and others by writing; write your own story first and then use your experiences to help others.
”I consider myself a Wounded Healer” one of you told us in an email today.
I believe we all are.
We have gained important knowledge through our experiences. Whatever has happened in the past, we can now explore what we can make of it. Together.
